Subaru and Clarion Bring Your Favorite Apps to Your Car
The high-tech Starlink Infotainment System in Subaru vehicles has received a lot of praise for its ingenuity and ease-of-use, and now it’s going to offer even more ways to integrate your lifestyle into your driving experience. Subaru teamed up with Clarion, best known for their aftermarket audio systems, to bring the Clarion Smart Access platform into 2015 Subaru Legacy and Outback vehicles.
Drivers can connect their Android phones and iPhones to the Starlink system via either USB or Bluetooth to experience the new suite of possibilities. Info is pushed from the phone to the car’s dashboard display, including driving directions, news, weather and calendar information. Additionally, compatible apps can be loaded directly onto the Starlink screen from your phone. The system will debut with compatibility for iHeartRadio, Pandora, Stitcher Radio, Aha, and more. New apps will be added as time goes on, without the need for a software update.
The new system will come with 2015 Legacy and Outback vehicles, but will be made available in more Subaru models in the future. The 2015 Legacy mid-sized sedan is brand-new from top to bottom, and it features a more high-tech and high-end interior than ever before. The Outback is Subaru’s best-selling model, a top-of-the-line sport wagon perfect for families who like adventure.
